( Following received from Mr. Lee Forker, Oil City, Pennesylvania
as taken from his files on the Forker Genealogy )

    Mercer County is immediately west of Venango County, PA and for many years,
I have been familar with various members of the Forker family of Mercer County.
From this line over the years, I have known several, including one branch now at
Cincinatti, OH.  In 1954, I received some data dated Sep 12, 1934, as developed
from the files of  D.L. Demouth  of New York and I think at the suggestion of
Julia A.  as wife of Frank BUHL of Sharon.  Henry FORKER, until the 1950's was in
charge of the Buhl Foundation. In addition, attached is a sheet pointing out some
highlights on John FORKER, who died 10 Mar 1845 at Rockland Township and he
specifically is mentioned in the 1879 history of Venango County as moving from
as moving from Center County, PA  to Rockland Township, Venango County in
1810. He apparently secured his farm from the William BINGHAM Estate and his
first born son undoubtedly was named for his paternal grandfather, who was
Levi JONES. I have personally searched the two abandoned Preybeytarian
Cemeteries for the cemetery stone marker for John and his wife, but w/out
success. Incidentally, the farm location is shown on Page 16 of the 1865 issue
of the Atlas of the Oil Region as published by F.W. Beers and Co., of which I
had. In addition, I attach a photo copy of the highlights for Levi Jones Forker,
including a list of their 11  children by name.  Various land recordings exist at
the Venango Co., Courthouse concerning various tracts owned and transferred
by L.J. FORKER. The minute book of the Presbyterian Session of the Rockland
Presbyterian Church has been examined by the writer with exerpts made
concerning membership, etc. of JOHN FORKER and his wife.
    The original John FORKER homestead in Rockland Township is identified in
some of the early county maps but always under the name of L.J. FORKER,
who apparently inherited the property as the older son.
    John L. FORKER apparently left the family home, since courthouse records
here show a good many real estate transactions not only in Rockland Twnshp,
but also in Emlenton, PA and he and his family left the Cherry Tree area where
some of the children were born about 1865 and later the family moved to
Edenburg, now Knox, Clarion County Pennsylvania.
    The John Lee FORKER cemetery lot is at Callensburg, Clarion County and all
are buried there with the exception of Wilfred at Bakersfield, California;
Laura at Long Beach, California and Alice at cleveland Ohio.

who died 10 March 1845. They had 3 children :

I.  Levi Jones Forker:  Born  6 Oct 1818, died 19 Mar 1889.
Rockland, PA.  -  Married Isabella BELL, 12 Dec 1839 in Butler
County, PA., Died 1 Oct 1891,  Rockland, PA.  They are buried

1.  John B. Forker - Born 25 Jun 1841 ; died 3 May 1920.
2.  William Forker - Born 22 Apr 1843 ; Died in Colorado.

6.  Mary Etta - Born 1 July 1850 ;  Died 10 Feb 1876.

He is the son of John Brown and Catherine Domer.
        They had 7 children - 4 living into adulthood.

          m. Wesley Mathis Brown 1868 - 1880 ;  Venango Co., Pa.
She is the daughter of LEVI JONES FORKER and ISABELLA BELL.
He was born 17 Jan 1851 - and died 30 Sep 1912.
They are both buried at the Domer Chapel Cemetery, Rockland
Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
           He is the son of JOHN BROWN and CATHERINE DOMER.
Children of Sarah Forker and Wesley Brown are:
